The aim of cavity grouting on this project was to fill the annular cavity between the tunnel bore and the segmented liner at the Dam Drainage Galleries excavated at the dam abutments. The main purpose of cavity grouting is to fill potential gaps between the rock and the concrete lining so to ensure full contact between final lining and the surrounding rock.
